Global Way-Finders

GOAT 2026 is the launch of our Global Way-Finder program. This program seeks to facilitate the cross-pollination of GOAT with communities on other continents by inviting participants from communities with overlapping values and interests to GOAT. This year we seek to host at least 5 global way-finder. If you think you and your community may be well suited to send a global way-finder, please contact us at [email protected] to set up a meeting!

Expectations

  1. You will meet with GOAT organizers before GOAT: we’d like to get to know you and discuss the expectations outlined in this document.
  2. You will present about your communit(ies) at GOAT: tell us about your communities, what they are doing in the context of agriculture and/or technology, tell us what you hope to share with us, tell us what you hope to learn with us.
  3. You will share with your community AND the GOAT community a presentation about your experience at GOAT, including what you learned, what opportunities for future connections look like.
  4. You will help us learn about how we can make the program better by either meeting with organizers post conference or filling out a survey.

 

Elligibility

  • You are located beyond the North American continent.
  • You are connected with a community that has overlapping values and interests with ours. Your community is interested in cross-pollination with other communities.
  • You are active enough in your community to speak about it, and report back to it in a community wide setting.
  • You are coming from a community GOAT is not already well connected with.
  • You are conversational in English.
